昨役的8強賽，終場前3.5秒庫明加和火箭格林（Jalen Green）在地上賣力搶球，結果裁判突然響哨，判定庫明加犯規，格林獲得2罰機會，穩穩罰進2球後，火箭最終以91比90氣走勇士，也終止了對戰勇士的15連敗。
賽後勇士教頭柯爾對於終場前3.5秒的關鍵判決非常火大，砲轟從沒在NBA層級看過這種吹判，上次看到這種吹判應該是在30年前的大學比賽，柯爾直言：「原本應該要吹跳球，卻吹成搶球犯規，這真的太讓我訝異了！」
只是今天NBA的裁判報告出爐，報告指出當時庫明加和格林雙方試圖搶球時，庫明加把格林的肩膀拉了下來，所以報告清楚說明整個犯規過程，證實裁判吹判無誤，沒有誤判。
